Saturday, October 28, showered sun and blue skies. Friendly new- and re-connections between two dementia-care duos were enjoyed in our garden. Two siblings, Jeanne Maurand of Hamilton and John Yntema of Atlanta, surviving the memory-care of their dad, Bob Yntema (d.2017), who was a guest at our garden, enjoyed a tour of the gardens and Caretaker’s Cottage. Two horticultural volunteers, Jeanne DiVincenzo of North Reading and Pam Murphy of Haverhill, and one hospitality volunteer, Barb Bodengraven of Topsfield, contributed to making our outdoor space safe, friendly, and beautiful.

Thanks to all who supported and volunteered at our Memory Cafe´ in the Garden this season. We look forward to enjoying outdoor memories with everyone again next year, 2018.

If you are interested in continuing with the Topsfield Memory Café year-round program – Indoors! – as a guest or volunteer – please join us this coming Saturday, November 4, 10am – 12pm, at the Trinity Church, 124 River Road. Please view an updated invite below. The December Memory Café event is now happening Dec. 16, 10am – 12pm.

Moving forward with a listening heart,
vision, inquiry, and action,
Mary
